Why I decided to streeeetch my self with certification

Last year I experienced alot of frustration with color and decided that the only way I would improve my designing would be to give myself a deadline..
So I embarked on the Society of Decorative Painters Certification program..
It came with a deadline and it was waaay out of my comfort zone..

I finished my board and sent it in.. but.. a week before I find out the results..
I repainted a design from my pre-color-study era.. and I think the difference speaks VOLUMES..

The first picture was the best I could do at the time.. and the second one is todays piece..
I have always liked this project.. the idea of it.. but always felt it fell short of what it "could be"

Ahhh.. that was a year of studying well spent.. and now no matter if I pass or fail .. I truly
can see the results for myself!

I passed.. These were my goals.. at least I have become a better artists and designer..
