When you create for a client or anyone really, that moment comes when you deliver the piece ...Eeeekk... I always wonder and worry about how it will be recieved. There are really so many things to consider when you refurbish a piece for a client..
#1 Where will the piece go?
#2 How will it be used?
#3 What is the clients pallete?
#4 What is the subject matter?
These considerations go for anything you give as a gift or create for a clinet. How many times do we recieve things that don't really fit with our style or decor? Or maybe purple looks great on your friend but maybe you look best in red?
It just boils down to detective work and observation.
Recently while painting for convention I painted some pieces that really feel flat. I deduced (like a clever detective) Got my best Nancy Drew going here...:o) That the pieces had no customer... What I mean is the love that goes into selecting the best gift for a close friend or creating a piece thoughtfully for a paying customer was absent I was painting outside of my own pallete and really had no
